Transparency

WeekTopPick Finance was created to make comparing financial products clear and fair. On this page we explain how we work, where our data comes from and how we earn — without hiding anything in the fine print.

What WeekTopPick Finance is

We are an independent comparison site and map of financial products available to people living in Poland. We show products side by side, describe their features and trust attributes (e.g. type of institution, deposit guarantee, regulator), explain key concepts and link you straight to the provider. We are not a bank, a broker or an adviser — we are an information layer that helps you understand the market.

Who we are for

For everyone who lives in Poland — regardless of citizenship. This includes Polish citizens, EU citizens and non-EU nationals legally residing in Poland. We show products from both Polish and foreign institutions (e.g. fintechs and EU-licensed banks), as long as they are genuinely available to a resident of Poland.

How we select products

Products enter the comparison based on verifiable data, not on fees paid to us. We check real availability for a resident of Poland, the institution's type and regulation, how funds are protected and the product's key terms. We try to base every value we present on an official source. Products we cannot reliably verify are marked as needing a check, or are not shown as complete at all.

How affiliate links work

Some links to providers may be affiliate links — if you go to a provider from our site and use an offer, we may receive a commission. This does not change the price or the terms the provider offers you, and it does not influence how we describe the product. Affiliate income funds our editorial work; it does not buy a favourable opinion.

We do not sell ranking positions

This is our firm rule: there are no paid positions, no "sponsored highlights" pretending to be a neutral result, and the order of products is not bought. The order follows substantive criteria (e.g. availability, completeness of data, comparability), not who paid us. If we ever show paid content, we will label it plainly.

Which data sources we use

We rely first and foremost on official sources: providers' websites, fee schedules, terms and conditions, and information from regulators and deposit-guarantee schemes. Where a source is indirect (e.g. only available through a search-engine index because the site blocks direct access), we treat it with caution and note that fact.

How we update data

Financial products change — fees, interest rates and availability can vary, and promotional offers are time-limited. That is why we show the date a value was checked and treat it as accurate "as at" the verification date. We refresh data periodically and whenever there are material changes. Always confirm the current terms with the provider before deciding.

How we mark uncertainty and missing data

We do not guess. If we have not confirmed something from a source, we write "No verified data" or "Check with the provider" — we never put "No" where information is simply missing. We show interest rates and fees as values as at the check date, not as a guarantee. We also clearly distinguish different levels of protection of funds (e.g. a bank deposit guarantee versus the safeguarding of funds at an electronic money institution).

What "—" means in a comparison: the "—" symbol means that a given value does not exist or does not apply to that product — it is a deliberate "not applicable" marker, not a statement that data is missing. When we simply have not confirmed a value from a source, we write plainly "No verified data" or "Check with the provider". This makes it clear when a feature genuinely is absent and when it could not be verified.

What we do not do

  • We do not provide financial, investment, legal or tax advice and we do not tell you what is "best" for you.
  • We do not carry out KYC or AML procedures and we do not collect sensitive financial data.
  • We do not open accounts, run onboarding or handle client funds.
  • We are not an intermediary — you enter into the contract directly with the provider, on its website and on its terms.

Always confirm with the provider

Our information is supplementary and educational. Always confirm the final terms, fees, interest rates and eligibility directly with the provider before making a decision. You make the decision yourself.

WeekTopPick Finance is informational in nature. We are not a bank, a broker or a financial adviser. We do not run onboarding, do not perform KYC and do not handle client funds. Links may be affiliate links, but this does not affect the order or the description of products.
