How to send money home from Poland

You send money abroad from Poland by transfer — the cost depends on the fee and the exchange rate. Compare both before you choose a product.

Definition

Sending money from Poland to people living in another country.

How it works in practice

For the euro area in the EU it is usually cheapest via a SEPA transfer; outside the euro area via a SWIFT transfer — slower and with fees. The total cost is the transfer fee, the FX markup and any intermediary-bank fees. The recipient usually receives the money into a bank account.

Why it affects your choice

Products differ a lot in fee and rate — with regular transfers the difference adds up. See international transfer fees.

Watch out

"No commission" can hide a poor rate. Check intermediary fees (SHA/OUR/BEN). We do not compare specific countries or providers here — use the product comparison and confirm the terms with the provider.

Information only — we do not recommend a specific provider or remittance corridor. Confirm terms and availability with the provider. WTP Finance does not give financial advice.
