Local account details
Local account numbers (for example British, American, euro-area) that let you look "local" in another country.
Definition
A set of local bank details (sort code, routing number, local IBAN) that lets you receive transfers as if you had an account there.
How it works in practice
A client or employer abroad sends you money by a domestic transfer (cheaper and faster), and the funds land on your multicurrency account.
Why it affects your choice
Very useful if you have income from abroad. Wise and bunq offer local details for selected countries; Polish currency accounts usually give only a Polish IBAN.
Watch out
The number of supported countries/currencies can be limited — check that it covers the currency you need.
